Bijzonder plotje Pinot Noir van familie Weber, geplant in 1983. In de handen van Kelley Fox wordt dit een soort ‘strawberry fields forever’ ode. Maar dan niet ‘over the top’, qua ‘strawberries’ dan… Genoeg structuur, zonder te zwaar te worden. Precies, fragiel en super elegant…Sublieme Pinot Noir.

Of zoals een vriend van Kelley de wijn omschrijft: “In 2057 on the first human-operated mission to the sun, Captain Full-On Strawberry came out of hypersleep and helped awaken the rest of the crew. As they became the first earthly object to hurtle past Mercury and into the sun’s corona, he brought out the only two bottles of wine on the craft, Weber Vineyard Pinot Noir. In the heavily tinted glass observatory, the crew raised glasses and Captain Strawberry said, ‘This wine represents how the sun is our destiny, our destination, and our source of life and hope. This is a wine that captures all those things in the way we want to believe in the goodness of our star.’ Kelley Fox
